My name is Mieko, a Southern California-based Japanese artist inspired by the vibrant botanicals, ocean, and sky of the region. Before settling in California, I worked as a graphic designer in New York City. My art captures the beauty of nature, blending bold colors and expressive forms to bring joy and connection to those who experience it.

Biography
Mieko, a Graphic Design graduate from Kyoto-Seika University in Japan, embarked on her artistic journey in 2004 when she relocated to the vibrant art scene of New York City. Further honing her skills, she immersed herself in studies at the Art Student League and Spring Studio in Soho. Her artistic prowess has graced numerous galleries in the heart of New York City and has reached international acclaim with exhibitions in Amsterdam, Belgium, Canada, England, Osaka, and Tokyo. Notably, her work gained recognition on the global stage through inclusion in an MTV pilot show.
Mieko's artistic achievements reached new heights as she earned the distinction of being the main featured artist at Mission Federal Artwalk. In a testament to her talent, she secured the 2nd prize for Village Choice at the Southwestern Artist Association in 2023. Her journey is not just a testament to her artistic prowess but a celebration of a global recognition that speaks volumes about her creative vision and skillful execution.
